| Famous for use against sore throat and Strep throat. Effective against bladder infections. Effective against protozoa, bacteria, and fungi, including Candida albicans. It is the alkaloid berberine that is responsible for Goldenseal's effectiveness against bacteria, protozoa, and fungi.
